Background
I am currently one of Purdue’s doctoral students who wears many other hats. As a graduate assistant and researcher, I design learning experiences, teach learners of diverse backgrounds, and conduct research on social problems. With my strong background in Communication Studies and my growing expertise in the Learning Design and Technology field, I am committed to exploring innovative teaching and learning methods of enhancing positive behaviors in various environments and relationships(interpersonal and professional). Presently, I am investigating workplace incivility and bullying in higher education environments to promote inclusive and respectful workplace cultures.
When I have some time off work, I tend to engage in philosophical discussions with friends and family, spend time outdoors (play soccer, swim, play volleyball), sing till my lungs need therapy, dance my heart away when the gigs come around (if not, it is why spaces exist in homes), and journal. I look forward to bringing joy to our working relationship.
Skills
Over the years, I have developed skills for teaching, instructional design, and research. I have also learned how to leverage the technologies which aid in the execution of my duties in these roles.
